Educational adventures in Yosemite
Since 1971, we've partnered with the park to provide outdoor science education for schools and other groups, adult education courses, and teen wilderness adventures.

School and Group Programs
Field Science Education
Our award-winning, residential environmental education programs are offered in Yosemite National Park for K-12 schools and other groups. Programs are experiential, inquiry-based, and aligned with state learning requirements.

School and Group Programs
Outreach programs: Project Pluton and WildLink
We partner with specific schools to help provide equal access to the park. Nearby schools participate in Project Pluton, an education and community-building program. WildLink is a multi-faceted program, including backpacking, leadership, and service projects for students in schools from underserved communities.
Adult Education Programs
For outdoor professionals and enthusiasts, we offer trainings in wilderness medicine each summer, including certification and re-certification for first-responders.

Teen Summer Programs
Summer Field Research
Students entering grade 11 can join park scientists and researchers investigating real questions about the biodiversity and health of the Yosemite National Park ecosystem. College credit and scholarships are available.
Armstrong Scholars
Young women, age 15 to 18, can apply to participate in a 12-day summer backpacking adventure and educational experience in the High Sierra. Program inspired by former educator Joie Armstrong.
