Packing Suggestions
Area temperatures vary from 50 to 70 degrees during the day and 40 to 50 degrees at night. Layered clothing helps provide comfort in variable conditions.
For Hikes
- Layered clothing (i.e. tank or T-shirt, collared shirt and light sweater)
- Warm jacket
- Windbreaker or coat
- 2 lightweight sweaters
- Sturdy shoes or boots
- Rubber boots
- Warm hat
- Mittens (warmer than gloves)
- Warm socks
- Camera
- Rain jacket and rain pants (more effective than a poncho)
- Water bottle
- Daypack
For Overnight Stays
- Layered clothing for during the day (i.e. tank or T-shirt, collared shirt and light sweater)
- Sleeping bag (Note: Bedding sets, including a pillow, pillow case, sheets and comforter, are available for rent)
- Towel
- Pillow
- Alarm clock
- Toiletries
- Pajamas
- Slippers
- Small flashlight
- Quarters for washers and dryers
- Laundry soap
