Organizing Your Trip
To help you prepare for your school's upcoming visit, we have organized the following resources for you and your class:
Group coordinator planning manual: Our manual provides group coordinators all the essential information needed to plan a great trip.
Slideshow: Use our slideshow to introduce parents and students to the Headlands Institute program.
Fundraising tips: Fundraising is often a critical component of trip organization. It can be a fun and creative activity. If students engage in fundraising for some of their tuition, the experience can give them a sense of fulfillment. Our fundraising tips can help you on your way to success.
Classroom visits: Free classroom visits before and after your trip by Headlands Institute educators help prepare students for their visit as well as reinforce learning from the trip. This service is offered free for schools within 50 miles of our campus.
Pre-trip curriculum: These activities can help teachers prepare students academically and logistically for their Headlands Institute experience.
Packing list suggestions: Let us help you prepare for your visit to the Headlands with our suggested packing list for hikes and overnight stays.
Safety: Safety is our highest priority at Headlands Institute. Since 1977, we have been a risk management leader in the field of environmental education. Learn more about our safety provisions here.
